Online coaching

Online Strength & Mobility Coaching

Coaching that travels with you — assessment-led programming, video technique review and weekly accountability, wherever you train.

How it runs

Four steps, no guesswork

Screen

You film a short movement screen on your phone. I look at how your hips, spine and shoulders actually work — not how you say they feel.

Build

A programme written around your body, your equipment and the number of days you'll realistically train. Video demos for every movement.

Review

You send clips of your working sets. I check technique, adjust load and progression, and answer whatever came up that week.

Progress

Blocks get reviewed properly rather than repeated forever. When something stops earning its place, it goes.

Same method, different room

Online clients get the same approach as everyone I coach in Cambridge: movement first, then load it. We build the range you're missing, teach you to control it, and only then add weight — so strength turns into something you can use rather than something that aggravates an old niggle.

If you're local, an in-person personal training session in Cambridge is the faster start — online works well alongside it.

Who it suits

A good fit if…

  • You train regularly but the programme is guesswork and progress has stalled.
  • You've picked up stiffness or a recurring niggle and want it worked around properly.
  • You travel, work shifts, or split your time between cities.
  • You want the structure of a coach without the cost of weekly 1:1 sessions.
  • You want mobility work built into your training instead of bolted on at the end.

Questions

Online coaching, answered

How does online coaching work?

You film a short set of movement screens on your phone. I assess them, build a programme around what your body actually needs and the equipment you have, then we review video of your lifts each week and adjust.

Is online coaching as good as in-person training?

For technique-heavy first steps, in-person is quicker. For everything after that — consistency, programming, progression and mobility work — online is close to identical, and it costs less because you're not paying for my hour.

What equipment do I need?

Whatever you have. Full gym, home rack, a couple of dumbbells or nothing at all — the programme is written around your setup, not a generic template.

Can I train online if I'm not in Cambridge?

Yes. Online clients train all over the UK and abroad. Everything runs through video, messaging and a weekly written review.

Can I mix online coaching with in-person sessions?

Plenty of people do — a session in Cambridge every few weeks to check technique, with online programming holding the rest together.

Pricing for online blocks is set on the call once I know what you need — see in-person coaching prices for a sense of the range.

Tell me where you train

A short discovery call is enough for me to say honestly whether online coaching will get you what you're after.
